Sony A6700 Revealed: Best Features and Price in Pakistan
Sony has announced the new A6700 APSC camera. Packed with an impressive Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, with an effective 26 megapixels.
Powered by the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine, the A6700 offers up to eight times more processing power than its predecessors. This translates to natural gradations, realistic colors, and low noise in both stills and movies, allowing photographers to capture the true essence of their subjects.
Dynamic Range
The A6700 has a wide dynamic range, which allows you to capture natural gradations even in high-contrast scenes. Sony claims that the A6700 will offer S-Log3 gamma curve with 14+ stops of latitude. With a standard sensitivity range from ISO 100 to ISO 32000, this will preserve more detail the highlights as well as the shadows, delivering breathtaking results in diverse shooting scenarios.
Image Quality and Color
Apart from the 26MP sensor, the A6700 also embraces the power of AI, featuring an innovative AI processing unit that enhances its performance. With more accurate subject recognition and wider subject recognition capabilities, this camera takes autofocus to new heights. From human pose estimation to recognizing birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes, the A6700 ensures that every shot is perfectly focused, no matter the subject.
When it comes to exposure and color accuracy, the A6700 is equipped with a new AE algorithm developed for full-frame models. The camera can accurately detect the skin area of faces and adjust exposure accordingly. Additionally, it maintains realistic colors under various light sources, producing more natural skin tones, vivid sky colors, and vibrant foliage hues.
The A6700 also offers Creative Look setting, offering 10 presets that can be further customized. This allows photographers to set the mood and style of their images before even pressing the shutter.
When it comes to video quality, the A6700 can record 4K/60p from 6K capture, as well as a high-framerate 4K/120p with a 1.58x crop. Videos can be recorded in up to 10-bit with 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 color.
Image Stabilization
The A6700 comes with 5-axis optical image stabilization. With precision compensation at the single-pixel level, this camera delivers up to 5-steps of shake compensation, allowing photographers to capture sharp, handheld shots even in low-light conditions. Pricing
The Sony A6700 will be available from August this year. The Price for A6700 (Body Only) is $1,399. Other options include $1499 with the 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS power zoom and $1799 with the 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS.
As for the Price in Pakistan, we expect the starting cost around Rs.420,000 PKR for body only, and can go up to Rs. 560,000 with the 18-135mm kit lens. However these are only our estimates and the actual prices might be more or less. We'll update the pricing as soon as we have more info available.
