I bought the Infinix Note 7, last year in September. I had no idea how their products were, so now here is my detailed review about the phone, after using it for almost a complete year.

The Specs

Infinix Note 7 was released on April 06, 2020, with a huge 6.95 inches display. The phone has a glossy back and it is quite reflective due to its gem-cut finishing. The display resolution is 720x1640 HD+ and has 258 ppi (pixel per inch). The phone offers 6GB RAM and internal storage of about 128GB, with upto 2TB external storage. There's also a variant with 4GB of RAM and a 64GB storage.

The phone has 16MP punch-hole front camera and 48MP quad rear camera. It has a battery capacity of 5000mAh with the feature of quick charging, so it charges from an 18W charger. The phone has a dual-sim card (nano) slot, and a micro SD card slot. The processor installed is MediaTek Helio G70, running Android 10. Other features include sensors such as gyroscope, e-compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also comes with dual speakers, one at the top and the other at bottom.

My Personal Experience

Now I bought this phone in mid of September last year and it has 4GB Ram and 128GB storage, and after using it for almost a year, here's what I liked and disliked about the Infinix Note 7.

One of the best features present in this phone, is its powerful processor, Helio G70. This, combined with the 4GB RAM, allows me to run games nice and smooth. Games like PUBG, Genshin Impact, and other massive titles run smoothly on this phone, and you dont have to stress about game lag during intense moments.

The phone also has great storage space, so one less thing to be worry about. One of the other features I like about this phone is, its battery capacity. Often I have to use my phone for my online classes, which can be of hours. And the 5000mAh battery has really helped as the phone can be used for longer periods of time in a single charge. The phone also has the quick charge feature, so if I'm ever running low on battery, I can fast charge to do or finish my important tasks.

The 48 MP back camera is also pretty good. Combined with its different image enhancing features, the photos captured are pretty good. AI image stabilization, night mode and macro shots are some of the highlights of the enhancements available.

The Cons

Although I like the phone's display size, I don't really like its resolution. I think that most of the phones in this price range are equipped with FHD+ display with somewhere around 400 PPI providing sharper display quality. Moreover, the display is not bright enough under direct sunlight. I have to often crank up the brightness all the way up, and sometimes even that's not enough to provide a clear view of the screen.

One other thing I don't like about this phone is its front camera. Even though the back camera is pretty good for the price, I don't feel the same for its front camera.

Conclusion

I'm not a guy who likes to take lots of pictures. I barely do it, mainly for sending college lectures to my friends every now and then. And for that, it does a decent job. If you are someone who is looking for an all-round phone that can also perform good photography and gaming performance, this is the phone you are looking for and I would definitely recommend it.
