This Tesla Supercharger Site in Germany Gets a Swimming Pool

At a Supercharger location in Germany, Tesla is opening a swimming pool where customers can swim while the cars are charging.

Charging your electric car can be a frustrating process, especially due to the waiting times. While the car is charging the battery, there's not much you can do other than patiently wait. Usually people charge it at a time when they feel they don't need the car right now, or when they have something to take care of while the car is charging. However, Tesla has brought an interesting way to pass the time while the car charges.

Swim While it Charges

At a Supercharger location in Germany, Tesla is opening a swimming pool where customers can swim while the cars are charging. This is Tesla's approach to a more consumer-focused company that provides experience along with product.

According to sources, up tp 4 people can use the pool at a time, for up to 10 minutes. The timings are 2pm to 7pm, Thursday till Sunday. Customers can enjoy the pool while their cars charge at super fast speeds. Some other charging stations include video games, in an air-conditioned lounge, coffee shop, and Tesla merchandise store.

Not Just a Product

Many successful brands go beyond selling just the product, by making the experience worthwhile. Brands that work on improving consumer experience show that they want to offer more than just a product. As of now, Tesla doesn't offer a lot on the experience side. So adding the swimming pool is definitely, to some extent, making their customers happier and bringing loyalty.

While the swimming pool isn't a huge deal by itself, it's definitely a start to something bigger, along with the other luxuries Tesla is offering, of course, at a rather limited scale for now. But surely this could grow, and also bring the bar up for other car companies, so they start providing more value to the customers too, in the future.
